Wolfgang Puck - The Villages FL.

Finally got around to dining at Wolfgang Puck's new restaurant in The Villages, FL. It was actually quite reasonable as long as you don't try comparing it to Red Lobster or some other Blue Collar chain. My wife and I had more than we could eat (I had pork snitizel and she had rigatoni, along with wine, iced tea, an appetizer and key lime pie). The bill came to $65.00 before tip.

Anyone in the area I recommend it.

I don't think I ever ate at one of his restaurants but obviously no the name well. If I went to one of his restaurants then does he have any central theme? He seems to have his hands in everything from sandwich shops at the airports to fine dining.

It makes it hard to figure out what to expect.

65 quid? That's more than reasonable. Did he go table to table hawking his latest cookware set?

Not Quid my good fellow, US Dollars. That's 54.86 Euros or 50.80 Pound Sterling.

I afraid the old boy doesn't spend much time in his restaurants. I don't think he was even there for the opening. Its kind of like expecting Colonel Sanders to show up at a KFC

To answer a previous posters question I don't think you can classify Mr. Puck's establishment as "fine dining" The menu runs from Hamburgers to Pizza to Pasta dishes (sans tomato sauce) to Pork Chops, to steaks. I suppose you could classify it as 'comfort food". Here is his menu

Quid is slang for pound sterling or money in general. The menu is really simple. Not what I would have expected from Puck.

From what I learned his menu is quite simple right now because of all the restrictions on dining. While we were there they were testing out a new menu item that looked good (but alas, the customers were not offered a taste). We shall see. I liked the place.

I should also point out that this was the lunch menu. So far they don't have a dinner menu because, again, of the restrictions and the fact they can only serve a quarter of the capacity of the restaurant. After the November elections when Covid will suddenly disappear never to be heard from again and the restaurants open back up the dinner menu should come on line.

He has a diverse range of restaurants. He also owns Spago, if you want to pay and arm and a leg to eat:

His CUT restaurants don't even have prices on the menu!
