    Awesome Cakes

Tried a new one this afternoon: Key Lime Cake If you like key lime, this is for you.

1 18.25 ounce package lemon supreme cake mix (duncan hines)
1 3.4 oz pkg lemon INSTANT pudding mix
    4 large eggs
    1/2 cup water
    1/2 cup key lime juice
    1/2 vegetable oil

Combine these ingredients in a mixing bowl, beat at medium speed electric mixer for 2 minutes. Pour batter into GREASED and FLOURED 13X9 inch pan.

Bake 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. COOL in pan on wire rack

Now for Frosting which is more like a glaze almost

    2 cups confectioners sugar
    1/2 cup key lime juice

Combine these last two ingredients, i used a spoon and a whisk. Drizzle over cooled cake. Cut into squares. Yields twelve servings.

Lemon cake mix and key lime juice mingle in this tart yellow cake.

It's soooo easy. It's just the number of ingredients that has you confused.

and then you'd have to wait for it to cool. You better just go buy a cake.

I'm not crazy about Key Lime but, if it was lemon, I'd be all over it!
