Post Mum-of-two who married a tree celebrates their first wedding anniversary

Mum-of-two who married a tree celebrates their first wedding anniversary

Kate Cunningham, from Sefton, Merseyside, changed her surname to Elder when she and the elder tree tied the knot at Rimrose Valley Country Park, and admits her 15-year-old son is "a little" embarrassed. Kate Cunningham said the pair are more loved-up than ever and they have no plans to divorce. The traditional gift for a first wedding anniversary is paper. The 38-year-old said it was one of the best decisions she has ever made when she married the tree at Rimrose Valley Country Park in Sefton, Merseyside in September last year. She celebrated her first year of marriage with two friends and some elderflower champers - leaving her boyfriend and two kids at home. She admits her 15-year-old son is "a little" embarrassed.

I have a friend that is a tree. Its a young eucalyptus tree. It has no wind protection and it used to bend in the wind and almost snap at the base of its trunk. It got a big split in its trunk from strong wind once. One time I was so worried about it snapping at the base that I tied a rope around it and tied the other end to a vehicle so the wind couldnt bend it so much - Im pretty sure I saved its life that day. I have been watering the hell out of it to bulk it up for a while and its pretty solid now. I often give it a shake when I walk past it and tell it its a monster. Its also grown in a way that helps it deal with wind from direction with no protection. I think it knows me. And appreciates me.

    1. Is she at all concerned about how crooked it is?

    2. Also, it appears to be much older than she is. These April-December marriages often don't work out. Is it a money tree?

    3. Beautiful camo gown. Is it mossy oak?

    4. Did Robin Hood attend?

She seems a bit shady herself. I'll bet she leaves him.

Is she the one that whacked off "his" root?

It's apparent that the woman has issues and perhaps might benefit from counselling unless it was done as a stunt.

Once I tell you that we agree to disagree there will be no more discussion between us in the thread so please don't waste your time continuing to argue your points because I will not respond.
