Look what they did when Sharon gave them back the Gaza Strip in 2005 and forced Israeli settlers to leave--they went and elected Hamas to lead them, which started the chaos all over again.

The Palestinians are willingly living in the dark ages and the rest of the Middle East (I hope) is beginning to see the value in coming together in a peaceful way to everyone's benefit.

Peter is right, when it comes to peace in the Middle East, the Palestinians are not relevant. This is happening despite their hatred.

Funny, that's what I say to the non-masking throngs packing it in rallies. Good timing. They chose to align with Trump. They made their own bed.

From their perspective...they feel like the southwestern Indians feel about the border wall, on what they still consider, their land. Which by the way, continues to shrink as the Israeli population grows. On one more thing, we'd need go go back before nineteen forty seven to even begin to understand.

There are no Palestinians. They do not exist. There is a claim that thousands of years ago their may have been a tribe that translates into something that could be taken as a Palestinian reference. They would not even be on the same land they currently occupy.
The decedents of Atlantis have no claims to land either.

Why? How many wars have they lost over that land? If they can't take it back by force they need to find another path.

Jerusalem Besieged: From Ancient Canaan to Modern Israel

This is the best book on the topic. It explains the history. It explains the Palestinian claims and tears them apart quiet easily. The people we call Palestinians have no ties to the land. They were nomads caught their when the Jews took back Israel. Their people come from Arabia, not the Levant.

Their land isn't "shrinking." In fact, Israel has returned some of the land captured during the 1967 War when they had to defend themselves against Arab aggression on all sides. Israel laid valid claim to that land more than half-a-century ago and has not stepped even an inch out of those borders since then. There has to be some price paid by the Arab countries who were at fault in 1967. It's a common mistake to think Israel has taken any more land -- it hasn't -- and it does not agree that the Fourth Geneva Convention applies because no Palestinians were relocated at all.

The UN and International Law may not be in Israel's favor but so what? The United States does not comply with either when it goes against our well-being. Same for Israel.

I do understand the history of the conflict, and you're right it goes way back -- that land has been a point of contention for hundreds of years, and now, it's time to settle it.

Palestinians demand a Right of Return but that can never happen as it would be suicide for Israel.

Now that other Arab nations--nations who would never take in Palestinian refugees anyway--are normalizing relations with Israel, we're moving into a whole new era. This is the best thing that's happened over there for a very long time and we all need to support it, which means, we cannot consider the hatred the Palestinians, Iran, and Hamas are still spewing.

    Things are changing--for the better.
