Look I'm not a fan of age discrimination but how tough can a job that so many rich octogarians choose to keep doing? The young, fresh, activist dems has oddly old fart party leadership. The speaker of the house and their would be pres. for starters.
We need manadtory retirement or term limits or both in politics. Imaging that 6 years is all you get, 1x for senate and 3x for house and maybe just one term for pres.
Imagine how different votes and choices would be without constantly being in re-election mode. I'm 61 and I'd retire tomorrow if my retirement was all set up. WTF is it with these 80 somethings hanging on in politics and SC Appaointments? Maybe we need to demand more of them? For example NOT being able to just not show up or go on vacation when you wish even during national crisis .
