The Totalitarian Tendencies of the Woke

Woke is totalitarian. Nothing new, just a review.

The Totalitarian Tendencies of the Woke

...Ibram Kendi’s “How to Be an Antiracist,” calls for some astonishingly autocratic policies. It would establish a federal Department of Anti-racism with veto power over any local, state, or federal policies considered racially inequitable by its bureaucrats.... It would also “investigate private racist policies” and “monitor public officials for expressions of racist ideas … empowered with disciplinary tools to wield over and against policymakers and public officials who do not voluntarily change their racist policy and ideas.”

...Their very language of group conflict and oppression is of course taken directly from Marxism. And there is a harsh intemperance and lack of proportionality in the behavior of today’s social-justice warriors.... There is a growing fanaticism in which gray arguments and toleration for opposing points of view disappear.

If politics is the methodical organization of resentments, identity politics runs on the methodical organization of rage....

There is a soaring tendency to personalize disagreements. Protesters now regularly descend on the homes of people they disagree with. They hound them in restaurants....

Character assassination and purges — also hallmarks of a totalitarian temptation — are on the rise....

Intellectual standardization of the mass media is another hint of totalist currents....

...Orwell described how totalitarian movements dictate what ideas and language will be deemed socially acceptable. He referred to this as groupthink. Ideological movements feel deeply threatened by mavericks who violate their groupthink, and so persecute them....

Another indicator of the totalitarian temptations within today’s identity politics is the surging reality of violence....

A generation ago, “Power and Purity” author Mark Mitchell has noted, many people “were wringing their hands over the ‘moral relativism’ of the young. Today, moral relativism is not the problem. ... If you listen to the rhetoric of the social-justice warriors, you hear not the easygoing platitudes of the relativist but the hard-edged assertions of the absolutist....

If the people that have power over us really want to end racism, lets start with eliminated every application that wants to know what is your race.

People need to accept that some races are better than others in different things.

On average I believe that is true but it all breaks down on an individual level.
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

The problem with woke is its identitarian grouping of people into abstract categories, race, sex, gender, orientation, etc, as if that completely defines anyone.

Like Mister D said, on average it ^ tends to, but not on an individual level.

However, pushing certain policies attracts a majority of certain people.

Right, but average is an abstraction.

its an odd form of Marxism that seeks to destroy the culture of the working class. Modern capitalist democracy is nothing more than neoliberal bamboozlery that pushes the working class to vote for owners parties through culture war. In Australia and Britain workers always voted for the workers parties Labour/Labor but due to neoliberal Americanization of our political systems and media - and through culture war - the working class are now forced to vote for the conservative owners parties Liberals/Tories. What kind of Marxism pushes the working class away from their socialistic workers parties by hijacking them with educated middle class leftists that have hate of the working class at the core of their identities? What kind of class war are we leading to? One that has the working class fighting for their capitalist masters? Ha. Its pretty funny - I will give the capitalist neoliberal duopoly that. It used to be that us British and Australians looked at US politics and wondered why the hell working class people would vote for Republicans that serve the interests of the capitalist elite rather than voting for workers parties like we did - but now we do the same thing. Gramsci would be rolling in his grave. The main point of identity politics is to prevent working class solidarity.

And no Im not a Marxist. I just know %$%$. Everything is Marxist to you American imbeciles isnt it.

    Neoliberalism..

edit - These educated middleclass leftists that seek to destroy working class culture are hardly the organic working class intellectuals that Gramsci had in mind..

You know the problem with identity politics being used to divide and conquer the working class? At some point the divide becomes so great that tptb have conquered themselves. Is the controlled opposition really in control anymore ot is it the useful idiots? What is extreme these days?

edit - Did they really want Donald Trump for President? Ha. Joe Biden isnt going to be able to satisfy the left...
