We should have let Germany destroy the Soviets. I believe it was Patton who realized this soon after his arrival in Berlin.

Most of the Generals thought we should keep going and take Russia out. They were already crippled badly.

Who didn't want to "take Russia out"? FDR? Eisenhower?

And why? (I think I already know the answer. [No legal basis for doing it.])

While I agree with this it was never going to happen. Barbarossa was based on the idea that they would destroy the Red Army in one campaign and they did! The problem was there was another Red Army built which was destroyed and then finally a third. The Germans had to destroy the Red Army in 1941 or at very least cut off the oil by taking Astrakan at the mouth of the Volga. They simply were ground down.

The Battles at the Don Bend assured this would be the end even before Stalingrad.

It was also a political, logistical and military impossibility.
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

It would have happened rather easily if Germany wasn't forced to fight a war with England, France, and the United States in addition to Russia.
