Red. It's better for you than sweet tea or a soda.

Bad move, IMO. Not every restaurant needs to be serving up alcohol. What's next, KFC? Arby's?
You eat blueberry pancakes for dinner?

A beer would goes well with fried chicken but KFCs are generally filthy places that I would never buy food from.
Again you are better off drinking a beer than eating the biscuit from a health standpoint.

You don't eat blueberry pancakes for dinner? I would eat breakfast at every meal if I could get away with it. Eggs are a mainstay in my life, along with seafood.

I don't 'do' fast food, with the annual exception of one lunch from Arby's, and one BEC croissant from BK. Under desperation, I may have chicken-maybe nuggets. And I always, ALWAYS regret the aftermath.

But let me tell ya, eating healthy doesn't stop Mother Nature from messing with your health when she wants to. Perhaps there is something to be said for the vino.....

At those sorts of restaurants I typically only ate off the breakfast menu.

Cracker Barrel is getting bubbly with the addition of beer, wine and mimosas to its menu for the first time in the company's 51-year history. The "old country store" restaurant chain began testing the concept starting before the coronavirus pandemic began. After adding beer, wine and mimosas to the menu at more than 100 locations, the company is making the change permanent. It helped that the overall response from customers was overwhelmingly positive and made the decision to allow most locations to partake in adult beverages a no-brainer.

"Our guests have told us that offering beer and wine would reduce the
veto vote — that is, those guests who would choose Cracker Barrel for a
given dining occasion, but ultimately go elsewhere because they would
like to have a beer or a glass of wine with their meal — especially
during weekend dinner," a Cracker Barrel spokesman told CNN via email

Well that's pretty good for them. I ate at one in TN, you gotta have the country ham with breakfast; don't forget the grits: butter, salt and pepper...

I'll give it a thumbs up.
You are probably all retired so breakfast is your meal out.

I have been there mostly for lunch. Driving down the highway with one of our reps and lunch time hits. Cracker Barrel is a great place to stop.
As far as the millennials go, they eat at Chipolte. Enough said. If we mass target Facebook with posts that Cracker Barrel is the place to be then millennials will respond how great it is. You total have to go there! Like Like Like... Stupid kids. LOL

After a day traveling then I am having a glass or two of wine with dinner. That left cracker barrel out of the possibilities which is a shame because they are usually right next to the hotels.

If you are only going there for breakfast then you are a different crowd than they are addressing with this.

As far as the insurance, there are 6-7 table small establishments with full bars that are not high cost from food or drinks. The cost for the extra liability insurance will be less than $200 a month and double that to include the Liquor license. The only exception is CA again, at about 7 times the average state.

Thumbs up for Cracker Barrel adding beer and wine.
