According to some here, it is a non-event. They think its acceptable.

Boys and girls, what if President Trump took a BILLION in cash and bought a million votes, the same way Doomberg is doing.

I guess he would be breaking the law, huh?

Sure buying votes is illegal but that's not what is happening here. Admit it. You're just pissed because the GoP doesn't truly consider or care about the lives of felons... Until they can vote...

Actually, felons GIVE UP their rights to vote when they commit the heinous crimes that put their sorry asses behind bars. (And there is ZERO Constitutional right to vote.) Felons ALSO give up their right to own a gun, WHICH IS A CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT. They also give up the ability to be police officers, lawyers, school teachers and Republican candidates for public office.

If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.

I suggest that you research the law. Providing a financial benefit to someone in exchange for voting in a certain way is illegal.

Purchasing votes is exactly what happened here. “I’ll pay your LFO’s and get your voting rights restored if you agree to vote the way I tell you to”. That is indeed illegal.
    Understand?

They actually don't give anything up. Some have decided that it is appropriate to strip felons of Constitutional Rights. I think it is a nuanced argument however; I don't agree with their right to vote being stripped.

I understand. Please point to any evidence that anyone is telling anyone else to vote a certain way.

    Doomberg is a Democrat.

If a Republican were doing the same thing, you would call it vote buying.
