China has turned to Argentina for supplies of grain

    https://indaily.com.au/news/2020/08/...r-cent-tariff/

Three months after imposing an 80 per cent tariff on Australian barley imports, China has turned to Argentina for supplies of the grain used for livestock feed and beer.
Argentina not asking for a probe into this Corona Virus you see.

National peak body GrainGrowers said in May that te tariffs will disrupt and most likely halt exports to China until the situation is resolved. It estimated the dispute could cost Australian grain industry and regional economies at least $500 million a year.
And after Covid.....and economic shutdown.....Australian Grain Industry losing 500 million a year? Is that meaningless?

“It’s clear that China is choosing Argentina, very aggressively, as a new provider of barley,” said Agustin Baque, a farm consultant and commodities trader specialising in barley, based in the Atlantic port city of Necochea.

Baque said the China-Australia conflict was pushing up demand for both beer and feed barley. “For 2021 we have business confirmed for 380,000 tonnes of Argentine barley to be exported to China, 180,000 of which will be malting barley,” he said.

China...seemingly in conflict with the globe.

This is the sort of tripe that happens when a country joins America's ant-China jihad , and right wing politicians start mouthing off through diplomatic channels ........Australia will learn (or not), according to the quality and integrity of the politicians of the day , that the Australian agenda should not be determined by the US or any other country.

Australians will learn....or not.....according to the quality and integrity of the politicians of the day?

    What does that even mean?

China has slapped almost industry crushing tariffs on Australian barley. True or False?

They are turning to Argentina to make up for the slashed imports of Australian barley? True or False?

There seems to be a China-Australia conflict and it concerns Australia's insistence on an independent investigation into the origins of Covid?

    True or False?

Every one of those statements are true.....not tripe. We can argue the why's, who's, what's, or where's, but those statements are true.

Ha. The win-win joke is good.

I guess the problem is that China is Australias largest trading partner. China accounts for about 30% of our exports but USA only about 7%. Since Australia is such a piss ant nation with small economy China can continue to stomp on us and it wont hurt them at all but it will hurt is.

When I was going through an anti-American phase I used to post a lot on China Daily Forum and I encouraged them to do exactly what they are doing now only harder. My thinking was that since Australia is such a piss ant China can stomp on us and make an example out of us without it hurting them. Other nations will see it and be reluctant to %$%$ with them. I said that if Australia wants to treat them as an enemy then they should treat Australia as an enemy. I encouraged them to do it over freedom of navigation participation in China Sea or accusations of cyber attacks etc. Suspend CHAFTA all together - ban Chinese students from using our universities - ban tourism to Australia. Close the embassy. They could destroy Australia overnight. I said that capitalists from Australia are interested in protecting themselves more than they are in supporting USA - and this is true of capitalists from Europe/UK etc. Farmers too. Already you see that a lot of Australian farmers arent happy. Australian universities are pretty pro-China because they make a lot of money from Chinese students. But yeah this is all my plan from years ago. Australia being such a piss ant is only worth something to China if they are talking up the Asian Century like we were under a Rudd/Gillard. If Australia isnt doing that then Australia is worthless to China. So it makes sense to make an example of us. China owes me money. They stole my idea.

The Australian left has never been more anti-Chinese in recent times than they are right now you know. You should hear them on twitter. God knows Bill Shorten has heard them. He said in a recent interview that Morrison was a simp to Trump. A simp. They went crazy when Pompeo said US should disconnect over VIC One Belt deal. Anti-Americanism is on the rise here for sure.

It seems like China is winning from all of this really. What is WHO investigation going to amount to? And the global left is all shouting about how many million Trump has murdered with his response - nobody is saying much about China at this stage. Its all about Trump and his response. If US/Australia wanted to use virus to turn world against China I dont think it has worked. Trump gets blame for murdering millions with response. Morrison gets blame for %$%$ing our economy.

China....is winning from all of this?

The 'global left' is shouting about Trump....when the virus came from China, certainly Trump cannot be blamed for the global pandemic by the global left, they certainly must blame China, yes?

And look to your last paragraph there for some chilling and telling rhetoric. You claim if the Australians and US want to turn the world against China, it hasn't worked. But then admit that the world....at least the global left....blames 'Trump and his response.' But then, that is who the' global media' has blamed and thus....that is who you.....oneandonly2....blame as well. Meaning your opinion isn't one and only but rather dime a dozen and media manipulated.

China infects the world including many Australians. The Australians merely ask for an independent investigation into this virus. And China slaps tariffs on their barley and then goes to purchase it from somewhere else clearly hurting the Australian economy that has already seen a few years of drought and covid shutdowns. And the Australians here seem to blame Trump and inform us China is 'winning' through all of this?

I'm confused. Are all Australians like this?
