For every post you can find by one of those members calling right-wingers "Nazis", etc., I will show you ten by the likes of...you know their names.

One member in particular - no names, but he likes red ink.

Most, as in the post above, use those terms as mere derogatory epithets. Some of us try to dig into the history of such ideas in order to understand them, which undertaking is constantly trolled by those who prefer shallow epithets.

Explain that. The factual history has been posted to the point wherein it's become a useless repetitive motion because -others[/i], particularly on the right, fail to recognize such histories from credible, reputable sources as factual, and just continue to falsely label opinions that they don't like. That is the core to disrespect and thus credible threads are marked with a tpf header. The right on the other hand will mark [i]their threads quite often as tpf in order to be able to TB opinions - or posters - that THEY don't like. And so the cycle just continues and nobody is satisfied and I appreciate a thread wherein someone is bringing this issue to us - again.

You're free to list the 'right's epithets' should you like. Jet57 just mentioned Hitler being labeled a socialist and thus used as an analogy by the right, my point still holds. However, most of this rhetoric, ripmeister, comes from the Left and it's hurled at Trump and Republicans. The terms racist, fascist, Nazi, Gestapo, these are terms used.....if we're going to be honest and objective....these are terms most often used by the Left.

And I'm tellin you right now........such analogies are f'n stupid. People have never seen a Nazi. Nor Gestapo. Ever. Those using those terms have no f'n clue what they're talking about, you know it, I know it.

But then, why do the righties here use those terms on the left?

No, he's not exaggerating at all. Besides vulgar names, the right around here routinely refers to opinions that they don't like with every one of those labels and all it does is tear down a perfectly good discussion: maybe that's the agenda...

I didn't say 10 different posters to 1 - I said ten times the number of posts. Reason alone craps the bed with those sorts of references more often than all three of the members you named. (None of whose "Nazi" references you bother to cited, by the way.)

Peter merely commenting on forum knowledge, not labeling anyone a racist or Nazi. These terms aren't relevant ion today's politics, no one in this nation has ever seen a Nazi nor a Gestapo agent. People use these terms because they are push button terms they're used to illicit response. But jet57 knows this as much as anyone else, constituents on this board wouldn't know a Nazi if one sat on their f'n laps. So cease with the idiotic analogies, all I'm saying.

The right has routinely thrown these labels around at the left and the right is very consistent in spreading disinformation from discredited sources misinforming people on the history of the origins and politics of said labels. Nobody here has owned a slave or been a slave, but we certainly know how why there were slaves in this country and for some funny reason, nobody seems to dispute that.
