I don't think so. He was explaining that HE is subscribed to God family and guns.
Remember, Ackbar, "All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes".
There is nothing wrong with hunting, sir, unless you enjoy the killing.
It is a “predisposition,” and it’s shared by stalkers, sexual psychopaths and serial killers. Sorry to burst their bubbles, but it’s not a blessing to be proud of, and it’s certainly not something to brag about.
It is both. I don't know anyone that hunts solely for sport. Every year because government restricts when you can hunt, then you can reasonably say they created a sport and in many states an actual holiday. Some companies just shut down on opening day because they know most of the workers will not show up.
So if you are hunting for food and make a sport out of it then what's the big deal. Likewise if you are doing it to control overpopulation (disease) or predatory animals.
We used to shoot rats (not hood rats) from my uncle's car for sport. I don't think that upsets too many people.
It was also a sport for me, trying not to get shot by my uncle's friends since it was a drinking event for them.

Nevermind, all. Only Perianne sees that killing for pleasure is evil, so there must be something wrong with her. Stupid leftist Perianne.
There is nothing sporting about it. If you think it is, you should have no problem substituting yourself for the animal and letting some clown with a high powered rifle sit back a couple of hundred yards, often in a blind or tree stand, and blast away at you.
How 'bout it? You willing to play? After all, it is just a "sport".
Not relevant to this discussion.#2 Hunting is key to wildlife management. Live in a suburb where the deer cant be hunted? They eat everything, get hit by cars, contract diseases and suffer due to over population.
Okay, that was too stupid for me to even respond to it.#3 The anti Hunting movement is part of the Maoist push to take away the manly arts. The Maoists want the male population docile and feminized. Aka your average Liberal voter is a wuss.

I would think you are more likely the exception.
Millions of people wait for opening season day every year. They don't need the meat. They are doing it because they enjoy the experience of going out and trying to get their own food. The sport is in how they prepare themselves and their location and often have camps where they hunt every year. For that preparation work they consider it a sport. They are going to use the meat but they are not hunting for survival. They also like to know they could if they had to.
We have Olympic sports that depend on the ability of shooters to hit their target. Hunting is the same sport with a source of food instead of a ribbon. You get one chance if you are lucky when you are hunting deer depending on where you are hunting.

I have hunted for wild game from very early in life under 9 years old , I hunted for food not sport.
I dont know anyone who hunted for just sport.
we as a species have always hunted wild game its how we survived . hunting today provides protection for wild game and is part of the reason we preserves and healthy wild game populations .

No. The hunter is pleased but pleased in himself, not for the death of the prey. When hunting for pest control then its because you did a good thing. When hunting for food then it is pleasure of knowing you can survive if you had to.
When you step on a $#@!roach do you say "Got him" or do you break down in tears and flog yourself?
