Consumer confidence surged in September as local economies reopened.....

More bad news for the Demos. Which means it good for the country.

Consumer confidence increased in September, according to the Conference Board’s consumer confidence index, as some states eased coronavirus restrictions.

The index now stands at 101.8, up from August’s 86.3 and July’s 92.6.

September’s increase comes on the heels of back-to-back decreases in confidence during July and August, as the virus surged through many states.

“Consumer Confidence increased sharply in September…[which signifies] a more favorable view of current business and labor market conditions, coupled with renewed optimism about the short-term outlook, helped spur this month’s rebound in confidence,” said Lynn Franco, senior director of economic indicators at the Conference Board, when releasing the index’s findings......snip~

Just what the Demos feared with Trump enthusiasm up and off the charts.

That is sad but too true. When they were collecting the bonus and getting more than they would working they heard they could not be evicted and stopped paying rent.

Yes, it ran out recently. I suspect these numbers predate the expiration of the free rent (not really free they still have to pay it).

I wonder what authority the CDC is using. I am sure landlords will challenge it.

I know there was a halt. I don't think it's still there. Did Trump possible singed it in his executive order?
