    AFAIK, Vermont has had a moratorium on evictions from late Fall through early Spring, since I moved up here (about 17 years ago) anyway. In fact I was told that if you crash on some ones couch during the Winter, you can just stay until Spring and can't be kicked out, but I'm not actually sure that one is true.

    Even though you do not have a rental contract it makes it just as difficult, under these No Eviction Bans.
    The legal advice I read was that you should try to get along. Unbelievable!
