At one time, my hometown of Buffalo, New York was widely known as the "City of Trees" because of the mighty Elms. As these trees grew, they created natural canopies over the neighborhood streets. Sadly, they succumbed to development as well as the Dutch Elm Disease that all but decimated the Elm population throughout the city into the 1970s. Younger species have been planted and over the last 10 years, we are starting to see canopies again.
    IT'S JUST BORIS!

Mine is blooming now. When I bought this house 13 yrs ago it had a large old pecan and my redbud. Pecan was excellent for a few years. Now its not bearing as well. My dad would say FERTILIZE it. I now have a navel orange and pink grapefruit. I want my trees to bear fruit or at least have good shade. When I taught outside for 39 yrs shade was my friend. I planted sycamores.

My favorite tree of all is the Aspen, The slightest breeze becomes music. In the fall they look like a torch.
We are all brothers and sisters in humanity. We are all made from the same dust of stars. We cannot be separated because all life is interconnected.
