Jim Caviezel Warns: 'Massive, Massive Persecutions' of Christians Coming

Actor Jim Caviezel says that if Christians want their religion to endure for future generations, they will have to fight for it.

“No one has ever rode to victory on the back of fake moral platitudes. We have to speak the truth boldly,” Caviezel said in a new interview, according to LifeSiteNews.

Caviezel’s new movie, “Infidel,” is described as a “contemporary Middle East thriller” surrounding an “American kidnapped while attending a conference in Cairo, who ends up in prison in Iran on spying charges.”

The U.S. is just about the most religiously free country on the planet - perhaps especially for Christians. The whole "persecution" meme arises when some Christians begin remembering what power and influence they as a lobby once had over the civil law, imposing their beliefs and doctrines on the wider society, and they begin waxing nostalgic for "the good old days" when their word pretty much always became law. When public school teachers could direct daily prayers and reward students for memorizing Bible verses, and when towns, cities and counties imposed business closings on the Christian Sabbath. When doctrine-based definitions of marriage were adopted and accepted unquestioningly by the ostensibly secular government. We're not going back to living in a country where Christians get to micromanage everyone else's lives for them, and some don't like that situation a bit.
Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.” - Robert E. Howard

Not anymore. Like he said Christians are being shutdown. Some think local mayors should see what a pastor intends to preach and have it censored before he/she does. Because we quote scriptures like a man should not lay with another man like he does a woman, those are things that AS Christians we're supposed to live our lives by. But LGBTQ says it should be labeled as HATE speech. If they don't want to believe in the Bible, that's their right. They don't have the right to say what we can/can't believe. They claim they're "excluded". No, rarely do churches say you can not be part of their congregation, but if you want to come and tell everybody they're wrong, the Bible is wrong, and be hateful to everyone, then yeah, you'll probably get asked to leave. Of course the Westboro Church is an exception...they are quite hateful to that community. FFRA would have you believe that the 1st amendment means you shouldn't have a ten commandments monument in front of a city hall, and that's not it at all. Most cities don't allow the Salvation Army to solicit in front of malls, etc, anymore, or some will but they can't ring their bells. They won't allow nativity scenes at city halls, in parks, etc anymore. If that's not persecution, then I don't know what you'd call it. No, nobody is being tortured or anything....but the rate things are going, that's not far off.

Who thinks that? Name some specific names and cities.

And they're correct. There should be no displays from one religion unless all religions are allowed to have a display. The government can't play favorites with religions.

First I've heard of it. Which cities ban the Salvation Army? Please name them specifically.
They won't allow nativity scenes at city halls, in parks, etc anymore.
Again, unless all religions are allowed to put up displays, no religions can do so. That's the legally and morally correct stance.
If that's not persecution, then I don't know what you'd call it.
I'd call it equal treatment. And I'd call it constitutional, as the courts have ruled over and over.
If a conservative makes an accusation, it's actually a confession.

    Other religions ARE allowed to.

Banning the Salvation Army has been going on a LONG time

Clearly you're ignorant of what's been going on in this country for a LONG time....

This country was founded by christians escaping persecution in their own countries. Our founding documents are based on the judeo-christian tradition And those traditions WERE the law of the land. BUT satan as usual needs to ruin everything. He's been doing it from creation to now and with the help of people whom God created but who now want to be their own gods. Nations who honor God endure long and prosper. Those that don't honor God do neither for long. You grew up under those laws that you think Christians imposed. They didn't impose them. It's just that decent civilized men saw the benefit in laws that happened to correspond to God's laws. Now we're off into ungodly territory thanks to the left's and some on the right's desire to usurp God laws and common decency so that they can live the way they want with no guilt and no punishment.(they think)
