5For we are to God the sweet aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. 16To the one, we are an odor of death and demise; to the other, a fragrance that brings life. And who is qualified for such a task?17For we are not like so many others, who peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as men sent from God.…

When I was 8 years old, I knew I would be all alone and on my own. Neither of my parents gave a rats ass if i lived or died. This is why I think I was my uncle's son. My cats provided the only nurturing and cuddling I got growing up. I have no idea what the love of a mother and father means or feels. It is an alien concept.

I looked to the bible for guidance and found it.

When Solomon was my age he was told to ask for one thing and it would be his for all his life. He asked for wisdom. When I read that bit, I fell to my knees and prayed for the same thing.

I know God gave it to me and that gift has served me well all my life. 1 KINGS Chapter 3.

Having wisdom (common sense) granted to me at that young age has helped pull me through some really tough times as a child and as an adult.

It gives me clear vision to see things as they actually are and not through some tinted lens.

It helps me detect deception when others can't.

When it is not allowed to be questioned, it is not science, it is PROPAGANDA

    Proverbs 26:8

Honoring a fool is as foolish as tying a stone to a slingshot.

example: 'Sometimes' in a group when someone causes discord or dissension, he leader tries to make that person loyal and productive by giving him a place of privilege or responsibility. This doesn't work. In fact, it is like tying a stone to the sling of a slingshot...it won't go anywhere and it will swing back and hurt you. The dissenter's new power may be just what he needs to manipulate the group.

Here's my view. OFTEN liberals give awards of whatever kind to other liberals for stupid stuff that we would not recognize them for...because it is not deserved...it is a pretense. What they are attempting to do is to give that person more cred in OUR (citizens) eyes. It doesn't work. And we tend to have less respect for the award and those awarding the undeserving. It hurts them in our eyes...and it hurts us in the eyes of the world.

    Reconciliation of Christian and Jew

    Ephesians 2:11-22

    English Standard Version

    One in Christ

11 Therefore remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh, called “the uncircumcision” by what is called the circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands—

12 remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world

13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

14 For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility

15 by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace,

16 and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility.

17 And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near.

18 For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.

19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens,[a] but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,

20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone,

21 in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord.

22 In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by[b] the Spirit.

Why peace eludes the holy city of Jerusalem.

    Jesus’ Love for Jerusalem

    Luke 19:41-44
41 As He approached and saw the city, He wept over it,

42 saying, “If you knew this day what would bring peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes.

43 For the days will come on you when your enemies will build an embankment against you, surround you, and hem you in on every side.

44 They will crush you and your children within you to the ground, and they will not leave one stone on another in you, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation (salvation).

Lamentations 4: No nation that ignores God's law, lies, cheats, steals FROM ITS OWN PEOPLE, kills its unborn, will escape God's judgement. He did it to Israel. Don't think it won't come to us.

    ל Lamed

12 The kings of the earth
and all the world’s inhabitants did not believe
    that an enemy or adversary
    could enter Jerusalem’s gates.

    מ Mem

13 Yet it happened because of the sins of her prophets
and the guilt of her priests,
who shed the blood of the righteous
    within her.

    נ Nun

14 Blind, they stumbled in the streets,
    defiled by this blood,
    so that no one dared
    to touch their garments.

    ס Samek

15 “Stay away! Unclean!” people shouted at them.
    “Away, away! Don’t touch us!”
    So they wandered aimlessly.
It was said among the nations,
“They can stay here no longer.”

    פ Pe

    16 The Lord Himself has scattered them;
    He regards them no more.
    The priests are not respected;
    the elders find no favor.

    ע Ayin

17 All the while our eyes were failing
    as we looked in vain for assistance;
    we watched from our towers
for a nation[d] that refused to help.

    צ Tsade

18 Our steps were closely followed
so that we could not walk in our streets.
Our end drew near; our time ran out.
    Our end had come!

    ק Qof

19 Those who chased us were swifter
    than eagles in the sky;
they relentlessly pursued us over the mountains
and ambushed us in the wilderness.

    ר Resh

    20 The Lord’s anointed,[e] the breath of our life,[f]
    was captured in their traps.
    We had said about him,
“We will live under his protection among the nations.”

    Exodus 14:14 ESV

The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”

    Proverbs 29:11 ESV

A fool gives full vent to his spirit, but a wise man quietly holds it back.

    Isaiah 48:22 ESV

“There is no peace,” says the Lord, “for the wicked.”
