Let's remember the old left was racist. The new left is intolerant.

I don't know that progressive is the proper name for the new left. Progressivism brings the notion of a centralisation of power. That began with TR and was full blown with FDR. The new left assumes that but is something postmodern more with it Critical Theories and Idenity Politics, and intollerance.

The old left still respected America, the new left does not.

Yeah well that’s part of it I suppose. I don’t like that, but two things come to mind there: in the grand scheme of things, it really doesn’t matter. Secondly, I don’t see much of future for football as it is, so IT really doesn’t matter there either.

As far as the right is concerned we’ve had to tolerate racism and fanatical militarism and fascism, so we all have to take the good with bad. You should be concentrating on president Biden...

But they also want the centralization of power.

Right, they assume it as a give--Harris made that clear in debate, or look at Polly--but then take it one step further.

Have you read Naomi Seibts thesis yet Chris? Its your kind of nonsense. Naomi calls the new left 'post modern socialists'.

    https://naomiseibt.com/thesis/

You would prefer 'Post Modern Marxists' right?

You know the big problem with all of this nonsense? It is that the 'new left' are not destroying the culture of the elite/ruling class - they are destroying the culture of the working class. The entire point of the 'new left' is to push the white working class to vote for conservatives that hate them and do not serve their interests. Meanwhile the educated leftists and their poor minorities vote for progressive left that also does not serve the interests of the white working class. Its all a big neoliberal capitalist scam to %$%$ the working class. Its sure as %$%$ not socialism. Your little snippet of nonsense name drops Gramsci. Does anyone with half a brain really think that a 'new left' that hates the working class - isnt the working class - and wants to destroy them is what Gramsci wanted? There could be nothing more anti-socialist than the 'new left'. But I think you would like Naomi Seibts nonsense. She is a lot smarter.

Postmodern neo-Marxist is the proper term.

You call it nonsense because the new left has abandoned the working man. But it has, and that's the point. It has abandoned the old left's standing for the working man and installed in its place a standing for nothing at all found in Critical Theory and identitarian social justice. So you're right but wrong. The nonsense is the new left itself. Perhaps you should read Naomi, you might learn something.

Critical Theory is basically the opposite of Gramscis idea to base a permanent rebellion around the destruction of ruling class cultural hegemony. Its as if neoliberal capitalists looked at the fact that the modern socialist movement were leaning towards Gramsci strategy so they hijacked it and made it anti-working class/anti-socialist. To call the modern left socialist or Marxist is utterly ludicrous. What the capitalists are doing with the 'new left' is hijacking socialism itself and making it anti-working class. Its capitalism that is pro-working class.. HA! This is some kind of Bizarro World. Imagine a modern neoliberal class war. Well look at it. The working class fighting for capitalism - the educated left fighting for 'socialism'... Surely no socialism could come of that right. I think that is the point..

And I did read Naomi. She is a real waste. All of her Q-nonsense makes her worthless. She could have been of value.
