I mean it sounds cold but to put things in perspective American casualties have been extremely light.
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

You truly don't see the reason? USSR was fighting for its existence during the second world war but USA was attacking a country which was under control of a group which USA and its allies had armed and supported until a decade before their invasion. Imperialism was fighting its own product in Afghanistan.

The US number of casualties: We call it militarily insignificant.

What interest did those "insignificant" number of dead soldiers had in the war? They died for someone else's interests. Those who had created Taliban and funded Bin Laden were the creators and benefactors of that predatory war; They made other people pay the price of their war with their lives and money.

Think of how bad things would have to be to fight on as a German in Stalingrad after the army defeat.

    Not funny.

This discussion is about WWII and Stalingrad.
Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

Just watched "Enemy at the Gates." It ends with unconditional surrender by the Nazis. But it was still a good movie. The hero a country bumpkin sharpshooter is trained and boated to the front and given a 6 bullet clip and told follow someone given a rifle and when he dies pick it up and start firing and into battle they go.
Tradition is not the worship of ashes, but the preservation of fire. ― Gustav Mahler

The film's title is taken from one of the best narratives of the battle by William Craig. Some of the finest military history out there.

The term military insignificant has a meaning: it means no effect on military operations.
