    Question regarding NFL rules

Does anyone know what reasoning the NFL gave for making PI non-reviewable again? I'm thinking it was probably a short term pacification but wondered if anyone had heard what their given reason was.
This is not in regard to a specific call or in favor of a specific team but rather about pretty much both teams in every game. It does not feel like calls in the pass coverage area are any more consisitent then they were at the time the terrible call in the Ram v Viking playoff game sparked making PI reviewable.
    Basically
    1) They called this part of the game inconsistently then
    2) A bad call in a playoff game brought that to the fore-front of people's minds.
    3) Nothing got any better at all except you could review.
    4)Now you can't.

    What have I missed?

The thing I remember is that even though they could review it, they almost never changed the call. I don't think the NFL was ever all in on reviewing it in the first place, as the OP says it was a short term pacification. I believe it was a one year experiment, and that no one in a position of power called for renewing it, so it automatically expired. I think they felt it slowed the game down and calls weren't being overturned anyway.

The NFL wants scoring. This helps. The NFL is turning into the 60's AFL.

Yes because fantasy is what drives NFL ratings currently.

Ratings are down in the NFL why, it isn't their wokeness as it has been pretty much non existent since week 1. Many fantasy leagues were either cancelled or being run at half capacity with covid this season. Those people who would watch for just the fantasy or gambling aspect with pick em leagues simply are not this season.
