That's why I was wondering if he was just trying to chase off the human. He was aggressive, but still kept his distance.

When I lived in Baltimore county we were surrounded by forests even though it was a built up area so were also surrounded by dear. They are used to living along side humans. Lots of apple trees there and dear love apples. So we would pick apples off the trees and sit in the garden and the dear would take them out of our hands. Nice way to round out the evening.

Lion looks to be a pretty small one, probably very young, more like a small adult playing (with its food heh heh). The kittens in that other video would engage that chick and then suddenly break it off, not unlike what this kitty-cat did just messin' with him, lol. Glad it had a happy ending.

The Coeur d'Alene television station had the nooze blurb. So, reasonably close to CdL.

Idaho panhandle. That territory looks to be on the Montana side of the line...it's not uncommon for hikers and four-wheelers to travel 50 or so miles to do their thing. Distances are a bit different out West.
