We could pick this apart further. But i am satisfied that you admit it was an assumption. If you want to defame Schiff, you need something incontrovertible. This is not the hill you want to die on. I understand your reasoning but this is open to interpretation and the way people judge this is dependent on which team they are pulling for, not the facts. Since he referred back to a year ago, I think it limits the scope to the past and was meant to set the scene. You choose not to see it that way. If he had specifically mentioned the laptop then we would not be having this conversation.

The first sentence is specifically referencing the Hunter laptop emails.

Second paragraph first sentence is also specifically referencing the Hunter laptop emails. Schiff knew this, he did not exclude the Hunter laptop emails in his answer.

Schiff purposely commingled this new information with a Russian disinformation campaign to further the Democratic Party narrative. Not once in the interview did Blitzer speak of or actually refer to the emails words or topics, nor did Schiff mention what is in the actual emails.
