UN Warns Climate Disasters Doubled in the Last 20 Years

    Watts Up With That?

UN Warns Climate Disasters Doubled in the Last 20 Years

    Eric Worrall / 1 day ago October 13, 2020

    Excerpt:

UNDRR – United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction

    Guest essay by Eric Worrall

According to a new United Nations report, “It is baffling that we willingly and knowingly continue to sow the seeds of our own destruction, despite the science and evidence that we are turning our only home into an uninhabitable hell for millions of people.”. But like many UN efforts this latest report appears to ignore evidence which contradicts their climate narrative.

The hyperbole statement is a dead giveaway, why fall for the warmist/alarmist pap?

It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. The US is doing better with carbon reduction than the nations in the Paris Accords.

    Screw them.

Now the U.N. is getting laughed at over their lies, since the data in their report doesn't support their lie, they show a DECLINE in global climate disasters.

It will be interesting to watch the up-is-down reporting on the new UN report on disasters

The graph below is from data in the report (Figure 5, p. 10)

It shows that "climate-related" disasters have declined by ~15% over the past 20 years (2000-2019)
