NASA announces partners to develop moon, Mars, technologies

These technologies relate to the sustained human presence on the Moon and later Mars.

Although NASA will get to say high to Musk's colony that will get there well before them.

NASA has announced a slew of partners that will work with the space agency to develop technologies for missions to the moon and Mars.

The agency announced the 14 American companies, including SpaceX, Lockheed Martin and United Launch Alliance and a number of small businesses, on Wednesday. The combined award has a value of more than $370 million.


NASA’s Artemis program aims to land American astronauts on the lunar surface by 2024 while establishing a sustainable human presence on Earth’s natural satellite. In its announcement, the space agency said the technologies will be used to develop sustainable operations on the moon by the end of the decade.


The agency's long-term goal is to send a manned mission to Mars in the 2030s.

I hope Humankind will develop Moon and Mars. But it will take many decades.

I am lonely and depressed. Reading about the wonderful opportunities Generation Z no-goodniks will have makes me more depressed. I doubt I will see these Colonies, but they will!

Don't forget the Moon/Mars Program we have under Trump started with W. Bush and was shutdown by Obama who turned NASA into a Climate Change/Muslim Outreach agency.

Imagine where we would be now if that did not happen and the progress made?

Here lies the problem with mars is we have to create a living environment that replicates earth and we cannot create mars a living environment for us.
