Michael Yon: Dispatch 24: Return to America: Drugs, Drugs, Homeless, Drugs

Michael Yon: Dispatch 24: Return to America: Drugs, Drugs, Homeless, Drugs

Michael Yon is an ex-Army SoF guy who is now an independent war correspondent. He lives in Thailand but came back to the US to cover the Antifa / BLM riots in the Oregon / Washington area.

This is his 24th dispatch since returning to the US. His earlier ones are interesting too. In one he describes how he studies the protest graffiti to get a sense of the protesters. He stated that graffiti in Hong Kong (and elsewhere in Asia) is artistic, stating protest goals articulately. By comparison, protest graffiti here is childish and provides no clear ideology or goals. Just general banalities.

In this dispatch he discusses the Proud Boys. Neither him nor law enforcement see anything threatening about them.

Today we were out with Proud Boys. Checking them out in Salem, Oregon. The Proud Boys are not a concern. The ones we met are fine. They like to drink a lot of beer but they were not up to any trouble. One even had moonshine.

The Proud Boys numbering 40-50 (including many women) marched to the Governor's Mansion. The police know that Proud Boys are no trouble and only about six officers showed up. Many local and Feds have told me they don't worry about Proud Boys.

Here is Dispatch 25 with a video.

Do you want to know what bad governance brings? See this video. This could be downtown Portland. Once a jewel city, the sort of place everyone wants to see. Today, Portland is the place that I, as a war correspondent, came for work.

Unless I'm mistaken, this all broke out in violence and deadly revolt when governors and mayors determined it wise to interpret "States' rights" with the same greedy aplomb as Obama when he entered the White House back in 2008. You will remember, watching him on the news as he stood in the entryway grinning like a little kid about to ransack a candy store, he was about to run amok for the next eight years. So have democrat state and local politicians followed his example and justified their own avarice and outlaw debauchery, pissing all over the US Constitution and state laws, and American citizens in the process, with delight in their new, illicit powers.

Obama: a real tool, that one.

Dispatch 29: Lacey, Washington -- corner support, and Presidential Debates

Of the six people waving banners, two were man and wife. The husband is a Minister.

They invited us to their home to watch the debate between Trump and Biden. We happily accepted, and there had a fine dinner while watching Trump and Biden go at it. I had plenty to eat because my friend is on keto. I ate all his food, and desert. And I am not kidding. (He lost 60lbs on keto.)

We spent hours talking today, and tonight over dinner. Much education coming about local thoughts and feelings.

The debate moderator, Kristen Welker, is lightyears better than Chris Wallace from the last debate. Kristin was professional. Unlike Wallace. Kristen kept both Trump and Biden on better manners. Wallace helped created and enflame a zoo spectacle and he was openly biased. Kristen kept it under control and she was fair.

My view was that Trump won by a landslide. This might be my bias skewing what I saw. My mind is made up after seeing all the arson this year, and fear-mongering.

I strongly believe President Trump will win this election. Even factoring far back for my bias, am not seeing Biden win.

Something is wrong with these polls. I don't know what. But something.
