It must suck to be so outnumbered so i am asking for civillity and actual content ( vs vague insults and Oragne man bad or Biden dumb) stuff.
Here's the question. Are you passionate about Joe Biden as president? Do you know and agree with his specific policy? If so then that's that.
Or are you caught up in the increasing political division in this country? Do you maybe agree with Corona restrictions but think the time for them to be relaxed has come? Or agree with them but not with mayors who allow violence to continue being supported by national level politicians? Truth is it should be rare for any of us to be in complete agreement with all of our candidate's or party's views. It should be more common for us to police our own.
For example ( not a repub but I am planning to vote in person for trump) but I have always condemed his McCain comments and his contributions to divisionism via Tweets. Further while prior to COVID he was no worse than Bushbama on spending and debt he was also no better and that needs to change. On the other hand he has worked for ME peace, NOT fueled more war and brought troops home all while carrying a big stick when he had to that was NOT attached to occupations. He decreased the corporate taxes that drive companies off shore and are paid by consumers anyway and it worked, manufacturing and economy were rising. Now it appears he can appeal to my localist side by decreasing our reliance on foreign countries for needed staples.
So I'm asking three questions posters, liberal , con or moderate and for civility.
1) In the spirt of policing your own candidate or party what are your pluses and minuses for your candidate and or party platform especially in regard to policy record or stated policy?
2) Are you secretly, or not so sectrely, disgusted by polarization and BOTH Trump and Biden? If so have you given alternatives ( for example Greens and LP) a good look?
3) Lastly, as voters state, local and national, what do you think we could all agree on and pressure our public servants to get done? For example less war? Ending insider trading? Banning pork? Maybe pass limits on congress about when they can and cannot choose to show up to do their jobs?
The further they drive us apart the easier it becomes for all of them to do little other than insider trading and selling inluence
