    The Big Bang theory and the Bible seem compatible. The rest has nothing to do with this.

    In the end I have to reject the view presented in the OP link. It's interesting to say there's one creation story and God first made man in His (their) image and then created a second Adam who was flawed, but it doesn't make much rational sense and I have to fall back on two different stories for two different purposes.

    I also have to reject because reading something else right now I'm reminded God created the cosmos out of nothing, creatio ex nihilo. Big Bang does not posit the beginning of the universe but only the beginning of the universe as we know it, something from something, creatio ex materia

    If you think of The Bible as metaphors, you'll feel a lot better.

    26 For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards,[a] not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth.

    27 But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong;

    28 God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are,

    The problem here is the Jewish/Christian monotheistic God is the creator of the universe and not one with it as ancient pantheism would hold.

    No you won't Chris. Misery loves company. This guy can't discern a mid to mild dementia sufferer running as a stand-in for president for a radical pretend black woman against a president that has done nothing but strengthen this nation. You know it. If he can't discern this, i sure as hell wouldn't trust his word for the wellbeing of my soul for eternity.

    Why wouldn't the Bible be compatible with Big Bang, which I personally don't believe, or evolution, which I don't believe either. They are only related if you're looking to pick a fight.

    I'm not.

    The Biblical spanking.

    That has nothing to do with anything I said.

    Yeah, those are two literalist versions of it.
