I thought his job was interpretation of scripture, not making it up as he goes along?

In Pope Francis’s words, via the Catholic News Agency: “Homosexuals have a right to be a part of the family. They’re children of God and have a right to a family. Nobody should be thrown out, or be made miserable because of it.”

You don't have a right to be part of a family, you are part of a family. Man and Woman procreate and your born into one. Hopefully two parents and good ones but I digress. What right when this is how nature works?

I agree that kids who identify as Gay should be welcomed and loved until they go on to lead their own adult lives. I am fine with that. But forcing anyone to consider them married because of a lifestyle is crossing a line.

Their issue is they made it a badge of courage for a cause they aren't really involved with . The gays I know ,in my family and as friends ,do not want to make this big issue about it because it ,in itself, is making it abnormal . They just want to be left alone and accepted and they realize pushing this in the faces of the regular citizen is only segregating them more .
