AT 11.11am on Monday November 27, 1944, Fauld in Staffordshire became the site of one of the world’s largest non-nuclear explosions.
The blast was the largest to ever occur in Britain and a massive crater - 100 feet deep and 250 yards wide - was blasted into the unspoiled landscape.
