Anything less than a return to complete normality is child abuse.

The reporter says that death rates in Sweden are 10 times higher that it's Nordic neighbours. A "return to complete normality" during an outbreak of a pandemic disease is like returning to normal life in a building that's on fire.
Ten times higher than nothing is still nothing.
Your chance of dying inside a burning building is 100%.A "return to complete normality" during an outbreak of a pandemic disease is like returning to normal life in a building that's on fire.
Your chance of dying from COVID is like 0.3%.
How warped has your thinking become that you consider the two situations even remotely analogous?

1- If 0.3% chance of dying is equal to "nothing", then ten times higher than "nothing" equals to 3%. If a country loses 3% of it's population, that's catastrophic. That's actually what's going to happen to the countries which "return to complete normality" if no vaccine or treatment is discovered or the virus doesn't mutate to something less deadly. I know you just invented that "ten times higher", but by pure accident, That's actually very close to reality! Covid-19 mortality rate is 3.1% in France and 3.3% in Spain according to a research by John Hopkins university.
2- Chance of dying in a burning building is not 100%. Who can tell? Maybe the fire will be put out before it spreads to a room. One day a fire started at my workplace. When me and my co-workers realized that, we immediately turned off the gas and exited the building using the stairways. We made the way clear for the firefighters and as a result, the fire was put out easily. If we had continued to work in "complete normality", there could have been an explosion. The firefighters would have a hard time passing through us and fighting the fire in a crowded place. We could have get ourselves or the others killed if we had tried to "return to complete normality". Although we all believed that there was a high chance that the fire won't spread at the beginning, we didn't risk it. We did what any responsible person who values his life and other people's lives should do.
That is being selective. If you look at other countries in the region then you can find much higher death rates even though they locked down.
Belgium and the Netherlands followed the same standards as Germany or Denmark but had much different results. They also share open borders.
Perhaps they are just waiting their turn since the citizens of previously unaffected countries will be exposed in the second round.
0.05% of Sweden's population has died from COVID, so your 3% estimate is not even close to reality.
Actually, that was you.I know you just invented that "ten times higher"...
That is the case fatality ratio. It doesn't include unrecorded cases, so it's obviously a gigantic overestimate of the REAL danger that COVID poses to the general populace.Covid-19 mortality rate is 3.1% in France and 3.3% in Spain according to a research by John Hopkins university.
What is becoming increasingly obvious here is that you have no idea what you're talking about. Instead, you just repeat the talking points of capitalist media and governments who want everyone to become slaves to the corporate state. As a self-described communist, I find your willingness to swallow these shallow talking points rather astonishing.
The two situations are not even remotely analogous. That you think they are is a testament to your utter credulity.2- Chance of dying in a burning building is not 100%. Who can tell?
