Everything would have been fine if Republicans had any kind of respect for allowing people to vote.
The "mail vote fraud" thing is just a pretext to disqualify as many mail in votes as possible.
Combine that with openly sabotaging the USPS and you have your desired result.

The voters can drop their ballots off at drop boxes or they can vote in person. Many states require a voter to bring the absentee ballot to the polling station so that it
can be cancelled and then they can use a provisional ballot. Unfortunately, many votes won't be counted but will the impact be enough to make a difference? I don't think so.

More than 34 million mail-in-ballots as of Oct. 28th have been cast. 70 million people are expected to vote by mail. Some of those will vote in person, maybe around 8% to 10%. That leaves around 30
million that will get mailed, put in a drop box, or not be cast. Around 40% of the states including California will accept mail-in-ballots post marked by November 3rd, but arrive after that.
Some important swing states: Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, and Wisconsin don't accept mail-in-ballots received after Nov. 3rd.
Iowa, Minnesota, North Carolina, Ohio, Penn, and Texas will accept ballots rec'd after Nov. 3rd
Texas and Ohio have made it very difficult to vote by drop box. Those are red states that Biden doesn't need.
It is much easier to vote by drop box in Georgia and Florida and the number of people using drop boxes in Florida has been very high.
Biden's poll numbers are strong in Penn, Wisconsin, and Minnesota so a marginal loss of votes by late arrivals may not matter.
Also, about 1% to 2% of mail-in-ballots get rejected that arrive on time. Maybe a high turnout in Democratic voters will help to
make-up for that loss, since more democrats vote by mail than Republicans by about a 2:1 ratio.
If 3 million mail in ballots are rejected, that could amount to a 1 million net loss in votes by Democrats: 2 million Democrat votes lost and 1 million Republican votes lost.
That will not be enough to make a difference.
