Trump Secretly Planned To Expand The Police State–Grant Unlimited Protections To Cops

This is the problem as I have seen it: Democrats promote the welfare state and Republicans promote the police state to counteract the welfare state. Neither of them follow the Constitution, which is why it is no surprise that President “America First” has not only reauthorized the unconstitutional PATRIOT Act, but signed onto the unconstitutional USA Freedom Act and a host of other tyrannical legislation under the guise of safety and security. Now, it’s being reported that President Trump wanted to supply unlimited protections for police officers, something he has no authority over in the first place, and if you think he does, please show it to me in the Constitution: Article, Section and Clause, please?

    The Tenth Amendment Center reports:

A draft report from the Presidential Commission on Law Enforcement and the Administration of Justice reveals the Trump administration’s plan to further expand the national police state, with an emphasis on supporting and expanding qualified immunity and facial recognition.

The president formed the commission via executive order in January. A federal judge recently blocked the release of the commission’s report due to a lack of diversity on the panel and evidence that it operated in secrecy in violation of public meeting laws.

It's a Draft Report of a Commission and we have no way of knowing if Trump has even seen this, but I am against on both provisions.

I am not for this at all. especially the Patriot act. As far as expanding the protections for cops I don't see it as an attempt to further state control but a reactionary move by Trump brought on by the onslaught of abuse and violence directed at law enforcement by democrats. I like the sentiment but not the strategy.

    RIP Uncle Bosey
A great first officer but an even better second course.

It is piffle. Who has seen the draft report?
Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

I pledge allegiance to the Constitution as written and understood by this nation's founders, and to the Republic it created, an indivisible union of sovereign States, with liberty and justice for all.
