Post Police officer killed by rooster’s blade at illegal Philippines $#@!fight

Police officer killed by rooster’s blade at illegal Philippines $#@!fight.

A police officer has died breaking up an illegal $#@!fight after a blade attached to a rooster’s leg sliced through his femoral artery, according to Filipino officials. The sharp metal spur reportedly struck the officer’s leg as he tried to confiscate the bird as evidence of the illegal event on Monday in the central Philippine province of Northern Samar.

Lieutenant Christian Bolok, who headed up the San Jose municipal police station, was rushed to the provincial hospital and declared dead on arrival, local media reported. “I have a heavy heart as we have lost a brother who sacrificed his own life in the name of service,” the provincial police chief Colonel Arnel Apud said in a statement.

That's similar to what the global elite do.......they just use countries instead of roosters , and sit back being amused by it.

You would think the officers would have thought about the roosters with the razor blades. Shotguns.

I find it despicable what some people consider to be 'sport'. It's a disgusting practice

It's very sad and a great shame it was an officer trying to break it up who was killed and not one of the heartless cretins cheering this barbaric practice on. This sort of thing makes me so mad.

I can't stand people who think fighting animals is a sport. I'm sorry for the officer and his family.

    So brutal and inhuman.
I am tired of everyone fighting with each other. This is all by design.

This is done by people who are taught from a very young age that animals are only here for amusement or monetary gain. They don't have the ability to feel compassion for another living thing. We saw this with Vick's dogfighting empire. Mike Vick was forced to do public service ads aimed at teaching (in many cases) Southern kids that dogfighting is wrong.

It's a cultural thing, and it's never going to stop. It just shouldn't be so easy hide these events from law enforcement. Perhaps the punishment should be a similar brand of torture?

Rooster fighting was very big business in the little community I lived in in East Tennessee. Over $700,000 a week would change hands as people from all over the country came. After Rose Thorn (the FBI operation that shut down the fighting pits) restaurants and motels went out of business. My nearest neighbor had several chickens roaming his property (everyone in Del Rio had free range chickens). The roosters would constantly be fighting one another for dominance. I never saw the appeal in watching two animals fight to the death but it was part of the culture and had been going on for as long as people settled in that area (almost 300 years). Even raising so called "Sporting Birds" is illegal now but if one wants to find a "pit" I can assure you it can be done. One person told me that putting the "spurs" on the birds was a humane act as it meant the weaker bird would die quickly. It really meant the fights would be over quickly and the next bet could be set up.

The most prominent pit was the 440 Chicken Pit, off exit 440 on I-40. My brother in law and I considered opening a fried chicken restaurant after it was shut down and calling it "The 440 Chicken Pit where every bird was a winner" but thought the people would take that as an insult.
