    The Random Animal Thread

I have a knack for stumbling upon weird stuff as you might have guessed. However, I don't want to flood the board with threads knocking other posters threads off the first page so I will post all my random finds here. Are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin.

Weasels, ferrets, all of the Mustelidae, are great little creatures. Whether in the wild or domesticated, they demonstrate a great deal of intelligence and a sense of fun. (Well, wolverines not so much.) I owned a little dwarf ferret when I was living in Florida and she used to love to get out on the lawn and play with the dog - running around sideways and squeaking. In the wild they are highly adaptable. Some American Indian tribes considered them to be a sign of good luck.
Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.” - Robert E. Howard

"Only a rank degenerate would drive 1,500 miles across Texas and not eat a chicken fried steak." - Larry McMurtry

When I was in my late teens/early 20's I had a... gaggle, murder, don't know what the term is for ferrets but ferrets.

Amazing critters, litter box trained and total personality. They bite for fun which is kind of alarming to some but I've been bitten, scratched, gored more than the average person. I'm a total critter guy (posted vids of my chickens here somewhere).

I had a rescue ferret, albino female that I named Anastasia, blind. She was a total hoot. Dragged all the toys in the house under the sofa. Had a bull ferret Lars (Ulrich) who drank uzo with me and my buddies during our benders.
    my junk is ugly
