    Christian Reformed Church.
I didn't say I agree with it, I'm just telling you what other Christians are saying.
It really says more about the thousands of divisions of the Christian religion.

    Protestant divisions.

Catholics, as I understand, do not worship Mary though they may pray to her as an intermediary.

The divisions are much more complex than that.

As far a Mary goes the Christian Reformed Church sees praying to Mary as worshiping her.
Again, I'm telling you I don't agree, I'm just repeating the teachings of one of the hundreds if not thousands of churches that claim to be the one and only one that teaches the true doctrine of the bible.

Sure, there's Eastern Orthodox and Catholics, but the rest split off from the Catholics.

A lot of Protestants think that but it's not the way Catholics see it.

It appears to me that professing attribution of this trait to God strongly suggests that the Judaic God is but one of a pantheon (that everyone else seems to recognize, yes?), albeit the one who is their Master and so their one-and-only God, which is why I pose the question.

If true, then which god in the pantheon is it that Jews worship?

Alternatively, what is it I'm not getting here?

Jewish God not the same as the Christian God?
Not only this, but FYI, it was brought to my attention on another board by a Jewish poster that the Jewish God and the Christian God do not refer to the same diety.

This was a stunning revelation to me. The implication should be obvious.

Who -- or what -- is the Jewish God?
Correct, nor is the Muslim god the same as the Christian God which is Christ or the LORD. The great I AM.

God talks about this in the Bible when they turned and worshiped other gods.

Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name

But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.

I believe the Bible so yes I believe this.

So which are the "crummy" teachers?
You just admitted there are many variations of how Christians believe.
What divisions, in your view, are the "crummy" ones?

I don't judge. I try to understand people for what they see themselves as. I don't make claims only to mock those claims.

Easiest and by far more comfortable to dismiss. But perhaps there's a jew on the board that would answer? Or perhaps a luker dying to take it?
