Bitcoin keeps on going ! $16k plus. Doubled this year

    https://www-cnbc-com.cdn.ampproject....uary-2018.html

Bitcoin's price price rose as high as $16,019 just after 5 a.m. ET, according to data from industry site CoinDesk.
The reason for the move higher wasn't immediately clear, though some experts have suggested a link with the U.S. election.
Bitcoin has more than doubled in value this year, a wild climb reminiscent of its monster rally in 2017.

Technically its a full blown fibonacci 2 breakout. Im almost embarrassed how well I have done on this. Im also a bit surprised. I almost backed out of buying it when I did because it looked to easy. Ive never been in a trade that was this obvious. I decided a couple of years ago i was going to throw down X amount of money to see what was on the other side of the crypto hill.

My final reasoning was since most investors / public were not in it because they keep trying to compare it to typical investments it would mean what it usually does. The money would remain on the sideline until the "FOMO" (Fear Of Missing Out) crowd plowed into it.

Supply limited at 21 million btc
An asset class of its own " cryptocurrency"
    Bearish public .

    Whats not to like ?

I decided I couldnt afford not to buy it. In tennis its called an "egg".

    Good for you! I guess.
What does this mean? There won't be any more bitcoins produced after the limit is reached?

I know. Those type of opinions are what created an unusual investment opportunity for me. I was a broker for 27 years. Not my first rodeo but it is the easiest. The public loves to buy high and sell low. Thats what they do.

If you can make some serious money off these virtual basement suckers then good luck!

Exactly. Furthermore a lot of it has moved into very strong hands. People that didnt buy it at $4k to sell at $6k.
People with an attitude of $50-100k per btc or bust.

We will still have a hard shakeout and probably sooner rather than later but all that does is transfer even more of it into stronger hands.

Im not one to make price predictions but I do understand the mindset of investors.

    Its all about "perception"

Its f'n stupid how well this has went. I took my original investment off the table a year ago.

I have zero cost basis in what I am now holding.

Ive always said " its not what you trade in, its HOW you trade in something"

I was down half my investment 2 weeks after i bought it. But I didnt buy it to stop loss myself out of it.

I was in " balls to the wall" mode. Thank God I was.

I sold around $15,000 for like an 80% return.
