Hard to say when the fort may have fallen, presuming it didn't become rubble by just deteriorating over time. On one hand they are dating pottery back to the 11th to 9th century BC but another section talks about the era following the fall of the Hittite empire around 1180 BC. Around that later era there were a lot of raids by the mysterious "sea people", who staged a lot of amphibious assaults, destroyed many settlements in the region including modern Syria and even became a threat to the Egyptian empire. The sea people are often depicted wearing horned helmets, which could say something about the carvings of horned figures.
Make Orwell fiction again.

Note at about 3:00 they show a map of cities that were sacked, which includes Aleppo, which still exists in modern day Syria so the sea people would have penetrated pretty deep into Syrian territory, perhaps even the Golan heights to the south. The article says "The complex we exposed was built at a strategic location on the small hilltop". The video notes that thousands of people fled from settlements by the shore to take refuge on fortified hilltops. Note that the depictions in the video show various soldiers wearing horned helmets and the article mentions those carvings of horned people. Initially when they were talking about the 11th and 9th century BC, this later period didn't come to mind but later in the article they vaguely mention the period where the Hittite empire fell (though I'm not sure of the context), which was during the time when the sea people were raiding. These other facts they mentioned were consistent with that era so that came to mind, though I'm just speculating that there could be some connection.

Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.
