‘No one else has to live up to their skin color’
Longtime sportswriter Jason Whitlock exposed the latest attempts by liberals to get the black community to “live up to our skin color.”
The “Outkick” columnist spoke with Fox News host Tucker Carlson about the Associated Press decision to change its writing style guide to capitalize the “b” in “Black” when using the term in a racial, ethnic or cultural sense. Whitlock agreed with Carlson that the change does not denote a sense of respect but is just another shot by the left at getting control.
Citing the Associated Press change, which came amid months of racial tensions in the U.S. and ongoing protests, Carlson noted on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” this week that the “w” in the term “white” was not given the same makeover because, as the outlet explained: “White people generally do not share the same history and culture.”
“So, what does this mean. Is there a deeper meaning that we can take from it? And what effect does it have on society? Language changes the way we think, it’s the means by which we communicate, but also the means by which we understand the world, so when the words change, so do our ideas and understanding,” he said.
