Competitive sports are simply going to be an area where there is a limitation because it is so inherently unfair to allow biological males (or biological females in certain male sports) to compete with an advantage. Practically speaking, something like the language used in the rules for sporting organizations will also take time to be updated properly - and those usually have a bureaucratic process like laws and other contracts.
The only kind of males and females are biological males and females. That's the crux of the issue here. What is of grave concern to the "transgender rights" crowd is what the denial of accommodation logically entails which is that "Jennifer", for example, is a man and it isn't fair that "Jennifer" compete with females. It directly confronts transgender make believe with an unwelcome reality. I might only add that this is a fantasy world many of you are foolish enough to indulge while simultaneously arguing that transgenders have no place in women's sports.

They were initially denied a divorce. That took a few years to fix. Even further out, only more recently have domestic violence agencies been seeking out education and information on abuse and violence in same-sex relationships and slowly disseminating that information. Big changes are a bureaucratic nightmare, and there are so many unforeseen issues because it's change that hasn't been undertaken previously.

True, when the changes are in and from society and not brought on and forced by law.

It would be interesting to hear what @IMPress Polly thinks on this because I believe, and could be wrong, this was in part brought on by feminists arguing sex/gender as a social construct and now when transgenders take up that argument feminists stand against it.

Any rule like that will be tossed out as discrimination. Someone said the feminists have backed themselves into a corner.

Polly is totally unwilling to accept that reality.

So what you're saying is that all female athletes are liberals and deserve this?

Sometimes I wish you'd think for two seconds about what you're saying before you say it.

    Thank you!!!

61% of American women identify themselves as feminists today, including 64% of women over the age of 65 who I guarantee you broadly have a very biological definition of womanhood. It's almost as common among American women today as Christianity. So I mean when people go around blaming "feminists" in the abstract for all the world's problems, understand that you're implicitly blaming the vast majority of women in this country, not just small fringe group, in so doing. Feminism is not some monolithic thing. It's lots of different things to lots of different women. And yes, us total "terfs" are out there too. So I mean I don't really know why like Chris, Mister D, Captdon, some others around here, are so adamant about blaming feminists in the abstract and me in particular for transgenderism, especially considering that everyone here knows I've been, if anything, probably the single most outspoken critic is this bull$#@! on this entire message board for years now. My hand of solidarity on this issue is outstretched! It's there for the taking. Belligerently slap it away and you only show why your side is losing at the ballot box.
