There is automation that we can implement faster to eliminate some jobs. You will see that happen if they push this through. Manufacturing sector.

The shining light I see is that big business runs things in that administration. I doubt they will allow themselves to be hurt.

ALTHO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I say Justin Trudeau talking to the UN saying we need to use the control the pandemic has given us to restructure the world. q. End the poverty issue, 2. Climate, 3. some other stupid liberal dream. That was truly shocking and deflating to see that come out of his mouth. This civil war people talk about? I am starting to fear it a little.
I am tired of everyone fighting with each other. This is all by design.

In principal, I always agreed with the European system of making everyone pay income taxes. No tax citizens are a real issue at the voting booth because they vote from a position of greed. However, that damages us competing against Asian countries. That's why I prefer National Federal Sales Tax combined with a Fair Tax rate. Unless we want to go to an 20% automatic import tax so that imports replace the losses we have from our unemployed workers while they compete at slave wages.

    Newsflash

Companies are ALWAYS looking to automate and cut jobs no matter who is president.

You'll have to find something else to scare the natives with.

An obvious use for automation called "computer-generated imaging" (CGI) is in replacing politicians with nonexistent avatars. A whole new species of law will develop to harness and tame CGI, like mandatory labeling of videos as to what a viewer is actually looking at.

Congress will likely want it go on for years in order to fully understand the power potential in it and whether anything at all should be done.

This technology is already in use, and you must be informed that what you view in videos might not be real, including politicians like Biden, living or dead.

I have to admit that I do not eat fast food very often but when I have stopped by McDonald's in CA that using the touch screens that replaced the cashier was easy. The order is right and faster. I'm looking forward to the burger making machine that replaces the SJW who wants to spit on cop's and Trump supporters food.

Silicon Valley is no doubt orgasmic over the potential for a totally fake government comprised of nothing but digital images.

The whole problem with the minimum wage debate is that its led by emotionalism. At the end of the day, your productivity and your needs are simply not connected; in fact its relatively obvious that there are many circumstances where as your needs grow, say you get sick, your productivity diminishes and you can obviously be in a situation where you might have a 100% disability.

Even the concept of a 'living' wage is itself arbitrary. There are people who need more than $15/hr.

Sure, it'd be nice if every single person had sufficient productivity such that they could work and those wages could meet all of their needs.

But that's not the real world, we live in a world where poverty does in fact exist and there are circumstances where the value of a person's labor is less than the value of that person's needs. That's an unfortunate circumstance, but that is a circumstance best addressed by welfare.

To arbitrarily dictate a minimum value for labor is simply not the way to go about it.

Let employment be employment, let welfare be welfare.

At the end of the day, wages will be paid based on the value of a person's labor, not the value of a person's needs.

Even Marx actually understands this by separating ability and need in the famous Marxian maxim: from each according to his ability; to each according to his need.

They are also doing much more with app ordering as well. McDonalds still needs kiosks because they will generate that 'off the interstate' business.
