If she dies, it will be among strangers, hooked up to IV tubes instead of in the place that has been her home for the last 9 years.

Forgive me if I am not in the mood for a bunch of jokes about dogs being put to sleep or stomped to death.
I hope your dog pulls through.

And, I hope the governor dies a horrible death.

Even though you wear masks, you can't go in?

Its cruel for them to make you stay out.

    Good luck.

I remember saying that I would never spend that much saving a dog. That turned out to be a lie many times. They are family.

Per the Governor's mandate, when you show up with your dog, you have call the Vet and wait in your vehicle until a Vet Tech comes out to get the dog and take it inside. If you are picking up medication for your animal, you have to sit in your car and they being the medicine outside and put it on a table they have set up. It is absolutely absurd. I have been using the same Vet for 25 years. He is highly regarded as probably the best small animal surgeon in the state. He is also a good friend. He has treated my dogs over the years for everything from gunshot wounds to an intestinal blockage because one of them ate half a tennis ball. He used to do large animals, as well... until he got kicked in the head by a horse and ended up in the hospital for a while. He hates the procedures he has to follow right now, but if he doesn't do it, the Governor will shut him down.

Thanks for your good wishes, both for my dog and the Governor.

They are indeed. I think I have spent a small fortune in Vet care over the years, but I have never regretted a penny of it.

We do none of that here.

I was at the vet 2 days ago, I walked in, employees are all not wearing masks, the vet isn't wearing one. Two people in the waiting room were. A woman walked in, said, "oh, I forgot my mask, I'll go get it".......the tech told her, "that's ok, you're fine."

I've been in there several times since July, my dog has Valley Fever and, I go pick up medication every 25 days......never with a mask.

I hope your dog gets better.......maybe, since the vet is a friend, he'll let you in to see your dog, after hours, when there's no one around to notice?

    Cook.

    What state you in?

    What city?

    Just so I can avoid.
Wearing a mask with your nose sticking out is like wearing a condom on your testicles.

When out walking, look out for PROBlems. You know: maskless Plague Rats On Bicycles who blow past you without giving you time to get out of the way.

Ah, CONServatives, the Masters of Projection (MOPs). With CONServatives, every accusation is a confession. Weird, that.

If it looks like he is going to lose her, I am sure he will.

As I said, I have known this guy for 25 years and he has treated 3 generations of my dogs for everything imaginable. I knew this was bad when he did his initial screening of her while I was waiting in the vehicle and he came outside and said, "We may be in trouble". Even when I took one in with 2 gunshot wounds, he never said anything like that.

I actually got this dog from him. She was a stray that one of his techs found by the side of the road and coaxed her into his vehicle and took to the clinic. I had one dog at the time and he started working on me to convince me that he needed a playmate. That was a little over 9 years ago. Now, she is 10 and my other one is 11.

Don't you wear a mask everywhere you go? Stay away from people?

You're in one of the strictest states, with the mandates, yet they still have covid spikes .

I guess Newsome's iron fist rules, aren't so great.

We're doing a lot better here, in my city......you'd probably be SAFER here.
