So what? Is this supposed to be a huge civil rights breakthrough?

They instituted the Rooney Rule years ago which required teams to interview minorities for head coaching vacancies unless they were planning to promote from within.

Most minority coaches opposed it because they viewed it as tokenism as most teams had a coach they were targeting and it was just more symbolism.

There's almost no black players in football, so all the management should be a #ffffff white.

No. It won't stop until everyone in America is on a knee.

    Bwahahahahahahahaha!!!

You didn't watch the PREgame show where this was talked about by black former players, who were happy about it.

Also that Troy Vincent who is black make statement about it:

“This historic Week 11 crew is a testament to the countless and immeasurable contributions of black officials to the game, their exemplary performance, and to the power of inclusion that is the hallmark of this great game,” said Troy Vincent, NFL executive vice president of football operations.

It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again." Ronald Reagan
