Another Study Showing Lockdowns Accomplished Nothing

Yet another major study has come out showing the utter uselessness of lockdowns and other stringency measures in combatting novel coronavirus.

    Link >>> https://www.frontiersin.org/articles...04339/full#SM6

Key quote: Results: Higher Covid death rates are observed in the [25/65°] latitude and in the [−35/−125°] longitude ranges. The national criteria most associated with death rate are life expectancy and its slowdown, public health context (metabolic and non-communicable diseases (NCD) burden vs. infectious diseases prevalence), economy (growth national product, financial support), and environment (temperature, ultra-violet index). Stringency of the measures settled to fight pandemia, including lockdown, did not appear to be linked with death rate.

A study published in The Lancet found largely the same thing. The overriding determinant of a country's COVID death rate appears to be - GASP! - the overall health of the population, especially obesity rates.

So while COVID cultists keep admonishing everyone to "follow the science", the real science just keeps proving these cultists wrong. But they don't care. This isn't about "the science" or saving lives for them. It's about protecting their fragile egos and scoring political points.
Power always thinks it has a great soul, and vast views, beyond the comprehension of the weak. And that it is doing God service when it is violating all His laws.
    --John Adams

Not surprising. We've agreed earlier that the overall health of a given population is a much more significant factor than a lot of us are willing to acknowledge.

Same reason COVID is hitting inner city minorities hard. And this has been known since the first few months but hardly reported.

Obesity especially related to type 2 diabetic issues, poor respiratory health because of either smoking or living with smokers, heart disease, ect.....

Having nothing to do with a lack of medical resources but how they live!

Oh, they make sure we all know that Covid is hitting blacks and Hispanics harder than whites but they fail to reference the bad habits that account for at least part of the disparity.

Hey! Pasta is fine. I eat a lot of it, actually. Whole grain of course. Pizza is the only fast food I still eat and have cravings for.

They didn't need studies, to prove the lockdowns didn't work.

Nursing homes are locked down and those old people are dropping like flies.

But old people don't work and drain God's economy like leeches.

specifically, what demographics did you use to determine that old folks don't work? Age group, lifestyle, etc.
What resources are you talking about? One of those must be the money we gave to the government to hold as an investment, a trust, if you will. Later that was demolished and transferred to the general fund, but we still pay into it while the government doles out money to illegal aliens.
So, we pay into it, but the government gives away to those who have never invested one dime into it, and you're calling Americans who have paid into it, leeches?
