Post Ohio state's game against illinois in jeopardy due to covid-19

Ohio State's Game Against Illinois Potentially in Jeopardy Due to Positive COVID-19 Cases Within Program

Ohio State is dealing with an increase in positive COVID-19 cases within the program, potentially putting its game against Illinois in Saturday.

Bucknuts' Dave Biddle[/URL] reported Wednesday evening that the game could be in jeopardy after “several Ohio State players tested positive for COVID-19.” A source told Eleven Warriors that the team is dealing with a single-digit number of positive cases.

An Ohio State spokesperson told Eleven Warriors that he had “no news to share” regarding the status of Saturday's game, and that the Buckeyes were at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center on Wednesday evening. Ohio State was scheduled to practice on Wednesday afternoon, but a source indicated that the team held a walk-through rather a full practice due to the positive tests.

There should not be a recognized National Champion this year. There should not be a playoff. Just finish this fiasco as a sort of exhibition season.

There only real win was against Indiana. I would not be surprised if it were held against them in the ranking.
OSU squeaked by a number 10 team and the rest were losers (by their records). Their standing is more of a reflection of how they played last year than this year.

How do you start justifying holding back BYU, Cincinnati, Miami ...?

The Big 10 and the NCAA did OSU and college football a real disservice. OSU had an easy season planned for 2020 but at least they at least would have racked up a number of wins.

Yep, but Indiana has a good team and a win is a win. To me the biggest issue is number of games played. The Big 10 is lagging in that department.
