Is the Jeff Foxworthy meme-joke about rednecks, Dem governors and Donald Trump real?

A post shared on Facebook claims comedian Jeff Foxworthy said, “If your Democrat governor killed your small business, and you still support that same governor because you hate Donald Trump, you ain’t a redneck, because rednecks ain’t that stupid.”

I was always a Foxworthy fan. When we lived in East Tennessee we were certainly "rednecks" One of his quotes was "If directions to your house are take the first turn off the hard road, you might be a redneck." Those were the directions to my house. Another one was "If your truck has curtains but your house doesn't you might be a redneck" My brother in law's,who lived with us and a driver for C R England, truck had curtains over the sleeper. Our house 3/4 of a mile off the "hard road" didn't. We might have been rednecks!

I have never heard Foxworthy make the first political statement. I don't think he said that.

It's a good quote whoever said it!

As I recall the time of the big four on Redneck tours they were not political like so many comedians these days. To me that alone suggests they lean conservative and know better than to inject politics into the act.
