Question for Democrats

This is a sincere question: I'm wondering what it is that appeals to you about the Democratic party?

A few more:
Do you support socialism? Do you see yourself as a socialist? Do you want to live in a more socialist country?
Do you see yourself as protecting the weak?
Do you think that freedom of speech and information should be restricted from including conservative thought?
Do you genuinely think all Republicans are racist? Do you want to see one party (Democratic) rule without checks and balances?
Do you dislike religious people?
What are you hoping to gain from a Biden presidency?

As I said, these are sincere questions. I have friends who are Democrats, and I'm trying to start a dialogue to understand what people are supporting.

After a four year long obsession with getting rid of Trump by any means possible do not expect any sincere answers.

Since no one appears to want to answer the question, I'll give a brief explanation of why I'm a conservative (I think of myself more as a conservative than as a Republican):

I want the country to resemble the country that I grew up in. I think the traditional, American and Judeo-Christian values are important. I think the capitalist system of having to earn what you have gives greater incentive and fosters a better work ethic and creativity. I value self responsibility, individual freedom, and loyalty to God and country.

However, I recognize the country has had its failures and made its mistakes, so I'm not in favor of continuing bad practices in order to maintain the status quo. I'm also not dogmatic about some of those things, for instance I recognize capitalism requires some regulation to prevent all the resources eventually being sucked into one giant black hole. I'm also not entirely against social programs, but as far as degree goes, I probably fall more to one side of the scale than the average Democrat.
