    https://stargazingpro.com/can-you-se...g-on-the-moon/ Maybe it never was there. So they say cameras taking shots of the moon can't detect color only black and white ? Heres a thought hubble needs to turn around it takes great color pics from millions of miles away.

    Focal length is the problem. The moon is far too close.
