The only saving grace will be that US global economic influence has deteriorated under Trump , so however the new government runs things , the implications will be felt more domestically , than internationally............which I think is a good thing . We are heading into an era where independence and self sufficiency will be paramount for all countries.

I agree. And it is not only a reaction to the unpredictability of the tЯump regime, but also as reaction to perceived excesses by "globalists." To give some meat to this prediction: we will see nationalistic calls for "independence and self sufficiency" but these will be fulfilled in practice via corporations... many of them being the exact same "people" (remember, corporations are now people, too) that have been committing globalist outrages.

We are headed for a long period, perhaps several centuries, of what I like to call "corporate feudalism." States will still exist, but will be toothless.
