At least the thread that would only irritate the forum racists has devolved into a Chris pissing contest.

Better than racist backlash I guess.

Honestly, I'm not sure what's funnier: OGIS trolling for a response he didn't get or someone believing Rosa Parks was just a tired seamstress who got fed up one day. lol

Oh, and the south continued to elect Democratic majorities to the House and Senate well into the 1990s.

Still pushing that fairytale? Good grief. Dems may have changed their tactics, but are still by and large, as racist as they ever were. Especially the "Democrat Socialist" wing of your party.

Racism since her day has changed. She, MLK, and others back then sought equality in civil rights. That's perfectly understandable in light of the Declaration's "all men are created equal" before the Law. And something to stand for and defend.

Today's racism is something else defined by CRT and identity politics that seeks to turn things topsyturvy where the supposed oppressed become the oppressors. It is in itself racist. And to be called a racist on these terms is meaningless.

Indeed. That was in 1955, a decade before Johnson's coup that (1) realigned the Democratic party towards urban power centers, (2) allowed the liberal wing of the Democratic Party to gain control, and (3) created the Great Exodus of the Dixiecrat wing out of the Democratic Party. As you may n=or may not know, those people - racists and white supremacists - were invited into the Republican Party as a result of Nixon's Southern Strategy. Political parties, like people, change over time.

These people are now YOUR people. These were described by Trump as "very fine people." You own them... or, actually, they now own YOU. This is what the Republican Party has become: Nazis, racists, Confederate apologists. I'm pretty sure that none of them voted for Biden.
