We've never been close to 90% mask wearing for 100 days in the entire time of this pandemic. It's an evil tactic by the Trump cult - downplay masks, ridicule others who wear them, intimidate others into not wearing masks, and then after 250,000 people are dead, sit back and say "See? Masks don't work." So convenient.

And there it is, folks. The REAL reason why sociopathic conservatives are anti-mask. It allows them several rationales to bully everyone else with impunity. They enjoy it. Yes, there is a small chance that they themselves could get sick, or even die, but what of it? No balls, no blue chips. It is totally worth it to set themselves up as the presumed superior human and enjoy the presumed terror of their hated inferiors. And for the first time in their lives, they can do so with impunity. It is like a narcotic.

(What they never ask themselves, of course (have never asked themselves since grade school when they developed their pathology) is why - if the Others are their inferiors - they hate them so much.)

But if the person at the top advocates from the bully pulpit, the number of states and cities that can and do require masks will go up. Example: Grand Island, Nebraska, where the police have indicated that they will ticket maskless morons for public nuisance.

It is morally reprehensible that the same people who have never raised a stink about "no shirt, no shoes, no service" are suddenly wanting a Civil War over "no mask, no service."
